Japanese Government Construct Classrooms in Schools Across Camerooon
The foundation laying ceremony drew a large crowd of people from all areas of the North West as they gathered to witness what will be the start of construction work at Government Primary School, Ngomgham. Also in attendance was the Minister of Basic Education, Youssef Adidja Alim and Japanese Ambassador to Cameroon, H.E Tsutomu Arai as they oversaw the start of the 5th phase of the Japanese Grant Project which will gulp FCFA 5.5 billion within a period of two years as 18 schools will be constructed in Bati, Ndop, Bamenda, Bafut, Santa, Tubah and Fundong; all in the North West Region.

Five young and intelligent women became the first recipients of the Cameroon Women's Scholarship Award established by the British High Commission in Yaounde. The beneficiaries are entitled to FCFA one million each to enable them pursue their Master Degrees in Cameroonian institution or universities.
